Our holiday home in Sweden sits on Lake Vänern in Sundsören, 15 km north of the lakeside town of Mariestad – on a plot of about 1,000 m², only 150 m from the water. The gentle slope gives a wonderful view of Vänern, known and loved for its zander, salmon and perch.

The house has an 80 m² terrace with outdoor furniture and sun loungers. The nearby campsite has a playground, a volleyball court and a small football pitch.

The holiday home sleeps 4 adults and 2 children – a good base for a family holiday in Sweden.

How you will stay with us

On the ground floor you will find the kitchen, including a storage room with a washing machine, a bathroom with WC and shower, a bedroom with a 1.40 m double bed, and a living room with a fireplace and satellite TV.

Upstairs there is a living area with TV and video (Swedish channels), a bedroom with a double bed, and a small bedroom with 2 single beds.

5 minutes’ walk to the restaurant and a 24/7 shop

Setting on Lake Vänern
& the surroundings

A small marina and a restaurant with a kiosk are a 5-minute walk away. The restaurant Brygghuset sits right beside the Torsöbron, the bridge to Torsö, the largest island in Lake Vänern. The island is known for unspoilt nature, shore paths, and beaches with broad rocks for lingering in the sun.

Tiveden National Park to the north-east and the Göta Canal at Sjötorp, about 20 minutes by car, are excellent days out from the house.
